Sunny Schlehuber, a Miniature Poodle/Shih Tzu mix, passed away September 7, 2026. She was adopted November 17, 2016, when she was around six months old through a rescue group from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. She knew she was home from the first day. She was so happy to have a home and a backyard to run and play in. She was happy to have new siblings to play with and a new mommy and daddy who loved her. She followed her mommy everywhere and never left her side. She was small, but she had a big personality. She was a huge part of her home and family.
She loved to play tug of war with her big sister, Molli. She was always excited to have company visit, especially her Aunt Deborah and Uncle Damon. She absolutely loved treats (even cat treats). She loved to ride in the car every chance she got. Her favorite part of the day was taking a trip every morning to the Human Bean with her mommy. She was always able to score a treat for herself as well as her brother and sisters.
She loved Dr. Morris, Josh, Matt, and all of the staff at Paw City Animal Hospital.
Sunny is survived by her parents, Laurie and Mark Schlehuber, who loved her deeply. She is also survived by her siblings Leo (dog), Molli (dog), Breezy (dog), Dot (cat), and Sidney (cat).
Sunny was a true blessing to her family and friends. She was a big ray of sunshine every day of her life and will never be forgotten.
