Slash Orosco

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved feline companion, Slash, who left us on January 22, 2026. Born on April 14, 2017, Slash, affectionately as Chunk-Chunks, was more than just a pet; he was a cherished member of our family and a source of endless joy and companionship.

Adopted on July 9th from a dear friend, Slash quickly made his presence felt in our lives. With his sleek black fur and captivating personality, he resembled a panther, exuding an air of mischief and adventure. He wore his signature gold chain with pride, an emblem of his unique character. Known for his insatiable appetite and a knack for being a little naughty, Slash managed to balance his mischievous nature with a deep loyalty to those he chose to be close to—especially his momma, Ginger. His playful spirit shone through as he meowed for his favorite meals, often indulging in tender chicken and slurping up Chinese noodles.

Slash had a particular fondness for solitude yet found solace every day nestled beside his beloved momma, enjoying those peaceful moments of cuddling on the couch. He loved to pounce on his toys, delightfully reaching out without the need to get up, embodying the perfect blend of laziness and playfulness. He had a heartwarming habit of suckling on his dog mom, GiGi, which always brought smiles to our faces.

Slash connected deeply with the family who adored him. He basked in the love of his sister, Myla, and Grandma Daphne, who often marveled at his enchanting ways. These connections created a vibrant home filled with warmth, laughter, and genuine-feline love.

Though he was a "hungry boy" in more ways than one, Slash was also an independent spirit who would seek out specific individuals to shower with his affection. His selective socializing made each interaction feel special, as if he knew exactly who deserved to share in his feline warmth.

As we reflect on the memories we created with our dear Chunk-Chunks, we remember him not only for his playful antics but also for the void he filled in our hearts. Our home feels different without his soft presence, yet we find solace knowing that we were lucky enough to have had him in our lives.

Slash, you will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for the love and joy you brought into our world. Rest in peace, dear friend.
