Nalita Jones

August 21, 2013 — February 17, 2026

Nalita “Nali” Jones, beloved German Shepherd/Husky mix, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, at the age of 12. Born in August 2013, Nali entered Nicholas’s life unexpectedly, but with perfect timing. A close friend, knowing his lifelong affinity for all things wolf, asked if he could foster her temporarily. What was meant to be a short stay became a lifelong bond and a twelve-year companionship filled with personality, laughter, and unconditional love.

Nali was a voracious eater and an unapologetic opportunist when it came to food. Nothing was ever truly safe from her curiosity or her appetite. She had a legendary habit of lingering near the dinner table, her striking two-toned eyes full of hope and persuasion, often winning over even the strongest resolve. In her early years, she was wild-spirited and mischievous, once causing over a thousand dollars’ worth of damage in a single year. Her untamed nature was matched only by her intelligence, her sass, and her love of “talking.” Long conversations, debates, and playful arguments between Nali and Nicholas were a daily ritual, her voice always heard and her opinions always known.

She loved to wrestle, run, and play with her husky sister, Zayla Lou, and approached life with fearless enthusiasm. As the years passed, her rambunctious energy softened into a gentler presence. The once-wild pup became a devoted companion, transforming into a loyal 60-pound lap dog who loved nothing more than curling up beside Nicholas while he read or watched movies. Her comfort was steady and unwavering.

Nali had a remarkable way of connecting with people instantly. Whether it was her beautiful white and gray coat, her piercing and expressive eyes, or her welcoming smile, she drew people in effortlessly. But her deepest bond was with Nicholas. Through every high and every low, she remained by his side, offering constant companionship, comfort, and joy. She never allowed him to feel alone.

Nalita is survived by her devoted owner and father, Nicholas, and her husky sister, Zayla Lou. She leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, warmth, and unconditional love.

Her spirit, her voice, and her presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
