Nala Corey

Feb 14, 2013 — Aug 15, 2026

Nala, our cherished Chihuahua with her warm tan coat and boundless heart, passed away on August 15, 2026. Born on February 14, 2013, Nala blessed our lives for over thirteen wonderful years, filling each day with affection, playfulness, and a presence so vibrant it seemed to light up every corner of our home.

Nala came into our family one late night in Horizon City, when Nicholas, eager after seeing a message about adoptable pups, fetched her from a litter searching for loving homes. From the first snuggle, it felt as if Nala had always belonged with us. She instantly formed unbreakable bonds with her human family: her devoted mom, Kylie Corey; her caring dad, Nicholas Corey; and her loving brothers, Aiden and Kolton Corey, and sister, Kelci Corey. Together, we became her world—and she, ours.

As a beloved member of the Corey family, Nala’s playful spirit won hearts with ease. While tiny in size, she possessed the courage of a lion—never hesitating to stand tall, even among dogs twice her size, or act as the “big dog” during household games. Cuddling was her specialty; she loved laying under blankets, always seeking the warmth of a loved one, pressed against a leg or curled up to a back. Her trademark moves included perching behind us on gaming chairs or atop our heads on the couch, declaring her closeness in the most delightfully cheeky way.

Nala’s favorite treats were simply anything she could get her teeth on, and many laughs were shared over her clever food thefts right from our plates. But above all, it was her unwavering kindness that defined her. She sensed when members of her family were down, responding with gentle kisses and endless cuddles. Her compassion was a constant comfort, an ever-present reminder that even the smallest among us can carry the heaviest burdens of love.

As our emotional support animal, Nala provided more than joy—she offered solace and healing. She was a living testament to the profound bond possible between a family and their beloved pet. Her favorite place to be was always the same: under a blanket, snuggled close, making sure nobody felt alone.

Nala leaves behind a grateful, loving family whose lives are forever better for the years they spent together. The memory of her mischief, her warmth, and her loving spirit will always echo in the special places she called home.

Farewell, sweet Nala. The comfort, happiness, and laughter you brought will never be forgotten. You are truly loved and will be deeply missed.
