On February 5, 2026, the world lost a sparkling light in the form of Macaroon Scott Washburn, a cherished Dorkiehuahua who filled every day with joy and unconditional love. Born on February 20, 2017, Macaroon graced the lives of his family after being lovingly adopted from Midland Animal Shelter Adoptables as a heartfelt Mother's Day gift in May of that same year.

Macaroon was not just a pet; he was a devoted companion, beloved for his kind-hearted spirit and infectious enthusiasm for life. With a personality as big as his heart, Macaroon exhibited an unwavering loyalty that brought comfort and happiness to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His unique mix of dachshund, yorkie, and chihuahua resulted in a sweet soul who had never a mean bone in his body.

Among his many endearing traits, Macaroon absolutely adored the simple pleasures in life. Perhaps nothing brought him greater joy than burrowing snugly into freshly laundered clothes, a behavior that became a cherished ritual for both him and his family.
