LadyBird Cummings

July 9, 2009 — December 10, 2025

Ladybird, a beloved four-legged member of the Cummings family, peacefully departed this world on December 10, 2025, at the remarkable age of 17. From the moment she entered our lives, Lady was not just a pet; she was a treasure, a loyal companion who filled our home with love and joy.

With her radiant spirit, Lady brought a mischievous twinkle to our days. In her younger adventures at Lake Texoma, she would run with unrestrained glee, her joyous barks echoing against the backdrop of the tranquil water. As she matured, her zest for life continued to shine through as she relished the serene expanses of the golf course, an environment where she felt truly at home. With the grace of a seasoned golfer, she mastered the art of golf etiquette - knowing just when to trot along the fairway, when to keep off the greens, and when to leap into the cart for a much-deserved rest.

Lady's playful spirit was never more evident than in her antics chasing off any ducks that dared to wander too close to her domain. Her heart was as big as her personality; she approached every day with enthusiasm and a sense of duty to protect those she loved. Our hearts ache knowing that her playful barks will no longer resonate through our home.

LadyBird’s departure has left a profound void in our lives, a space that can never be truly filled. While we grieve for her presence, we take solace in the thought that she has been welcomed into the arms of her beloved Grandmother in heaven. We can almost imagine the joyful reunion, where Lady is met with open arms and a banquet of her favorite treats.

To say that Lady was a true love in our lives is an understatement. She was our joy, our laughter, our loyal friend, and a cherished member of our family. As we mourn her passing, we hold tight to our memories, celebrating the unconditional love she so freely gave.

Dear LadyBird, we love you fiercely and miss you deeply. Your legacy will forever be alive in our hearts, and though you may be gone from our sight, you will always remain a cherished guardian of our hearts.
