Heidi Sitton

June 5, 2015 — March 19, 2026

Heidi, a beloved American pit bull terrier with a striking brindle and white coat, was born on June 5, 2015, and left this world on March 19, 2026. From the moment she picked her Mommy Stephanie in September 2015, Heidi’s presence brought immeasurable comfort and love. Given by friends after a difficult loss, Heidi made it clear that she was meant to be part of her family, running straight to Stephanie and declaring the start of a lifelong bond.

Heidi was the most loyal girl anyone could ever know. A true Momma’s girl, she was fiercely protective and followed Stephanie everywhere with a loving heart and unmatched spunk. She held the reigns as the queen of her household, a title she wore proudly every day. Heidi’s way of showing affection was simple yet profound—she loved getting her scratches, bringing toys as gifts upon arrival home, and lying quietly nearby to remind her family they were never alone.

Playing with toys was one of Heidi’s passions. She had a legendary knack for ripping all the stuffing out and silencing the squeakers, much to the amusement and admiration of her family. Milk Bones were her special treat of choice, alongside anything Mom or Dad were eating—always hoping for a little share. Ever the vigilant guardian, Heidi took her role seriously, standing guard by the front window to ensure no other animals ventured into her yard, keeping her family safe and sound.

Heidi’s presence carried significance beyond playfulness and protection. During tough times in Mom’s life, Heidi was the steadfast companion who witnessed it all—the struggles and the growth. She traveled the journey alongside Stephanie, sharing silent support and unwavering love. Together, they healed, grew, and sided in mutual spoiling, creating memories that enriched their lives forever.

One unforgettable and touching ritual was how Heidi eagerly awaited Daddy Shannon’s return home after his trips, often pacing between the door and window, her excitement palpable at the sound of “Daddy’s home.” Heidi also delighted her family by always bringing toys as little tokens of love whenever they returned from outings—a warm welcome that never failed to brighten days.

Sleeping side by side was Heidi’s favorite pastime; she chose the family bed for rest and comfort but was just as content on the bathroom floor during Mom’s showers or anywhere Stephanie sat—never wanting to be far from those she loved.

Heidi leaves behind Mommy Stephanie and Daddy Shannon, along with her cherished pet siblings Bella and Jack. Her loyalty, playful spirit, and protective nature have left an indelible mark on their hearts and homes.

Heidi was more than a pet—she was a soulmate, a guardian, and the truest definition of unconditional love. Her memory will forever be treasured by those who were lucky enough to be by her side, basking in the glow of her gentle strength and unyielding devotion. Rest peacefully, dear Heidi—you were deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
