Frankie’s story is as heartfelt as it is unique. He joined the family at a convenience store in Akron, Ohio in 2014 that would forever change his life—and the lives of those who found him. That simple encounter marked the beginning of a lasting bond, one that would define Frankie’s days with unwavering devotion and quiet joy.

Frankie quickly became the heart of his family, never straying far from his beloved human mom, Jana. He was Jana’s shadow in every sense, a constant companion whose presence was a source of comfort, laughter, and love. Together they shared countless moments—Frankie always eager to greet Jana at the door, his tail wagging in anticipation, his eyes bright with affection, and a bark to say welcome home. At night, Frankie was more than a pet; he was a best friend, content to sleep right next to Jana, sharing warmth and wordless understanding.

He thrived in his role as a brother to his fur siblings, Rascal and Princess. The camaraderie between Frankie and Rascal was especially joyful—hours spent playing chase, racing through the house or yard, their playful energy filling the home. Frankie’s exuberant greetings were well known; he would bark at everyone, making each arrival feel like a celebration.

Food was also one of Frankie’s great joys. He loved nothing more than chicken and home cooked meals, always eager for mealtime and the love that accompanied each dish. Frankie’s loyalty extended to every member of his family, leaving an indelible mark on all fortunate enough to know him.

As the days quietly pass and the house feels a little different, Frankie’s absence is deeply felt by Jana, Rascal, Princess, and all who remember his gentle soul. His memory lives on in every welcoming bark, in every familiar place he loved, and most of all, in the lasting imprint he left on Jana’s heart.
