Eleanor Rigby, affectionately known as “Ellie,” crossed over on August 18, 2026. Born April 15, 2017, in Llano, Texas, Ellie quickly found her way to her home in Midland, a journey marked by anticipation and joy that began on May 27, 2017.
From the very beginning, Ellie was all beagle—determined, mischievous, and brimming with personality. Even as a tiny pup, she was a force to be reckoned with. In the earliest video taken of her, no more than five weeks old, she could be seen attempting to pick a fight with her brother over a toy, showing the spirited side that would come to define her.
When she finally arrived in Midland, Ellie took her new world by storm. On Arbor Circle, she grew into her own, claiming the honorary title of “block captain.” Her favorite post was at the expansive picture window, where she watched over her neighborhood with unwavering attentiveness. Nothing escaped her notice—every passerby, every rustling branch, every car that slowed for just a beat longer than usual. She kept her loved ones safe, always at the ready, always alert, the ever-watchful guardian of her home.
Ellie had a mischievous streak that was equal parts exasperating and endearing. While toys designed for dogs held interest, it was the forbidden edge of a throw rug that caught her fancy most often, reminding all who knew her that a beagle’s heart is a wild and playful thing. Yet, there was nothing she enjoyed more than her squeaker toys—she couldn’t resist tearing them apart, a ritual that brought her (and those who loved her) endless laughter. Milk Bones were her reward and favorite treat, and she never met a stranger; her friendliness and gentle spirit endeared her to all.
Her house was not just ruled, but lovingly run, by her beagle personality. Ellie was the boss, commanding affection and attention, and always making clear she was at the center of her family’s world. She leaves behind her sisters, Libby, Chloe, Rylee, and Abby, who will feel her absence deeply in the quiet corners of their home and the rhythms of each day.
Though her time was far too short, Eleanor Rigby’s impact on those around her is lasting. She wove herself into the very life of her family, a faithful presence always ready for mischief, affection, and adventure. Those lucky enough to have known Ellie will remember not only her playful energy and watchful eyes but also the way she made every day brighter simply by being herself.
Rest easy, Ellie. You are missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
