Diogi Thurmond

August 13, 2021 — January 4, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Diogi Bonehead Thurmond, our beloved canine companion, who graced us with his loyal presence from August 13, 2021, until January 4, 2026. His spirit was as vibrant as a summer day, filled with joy, mischief, and an unyielding dedication to those he loved.

Diogi was not just a dog; he was a protector and a friend, one who brought laughter and comfort to all who knew him. He had an uncanny ability to find a playful moment in every situation, loved to horse play with a gentle touch, especially with the girls. His antics were endless—always ready to tangle everyone up with his leash, which became a signature move, much to the amusement of his family.

His favorite pastimes included enjoying delicious bean burritos from Allsup's, which he approached with the enthusiasm of a gourmet connoisseur, and playing with the water hose, delighting in the refreshing droplets that danced around him on warm days. Diogi was also known for his unmistakable charm—waiting patiently for you to draw close before cheekily letting out a little fart that could leave an entire room in fits of laughter.

Diogi shared a rich life surrounded by a loving family. He will be deeply missed by his dad, Richard, who always appreciated Diogi’s protective nature; his mom, Melissa, who found endless joy in their bonding moments; and his siblings—Shaelyn, Shelby, and Keller—whose hearts were warmed by his playful spirit. He shared a special bond with his fur family, including Tut, Odin, Bella, and especially his loving companion, Harley, who was by his side through thick and thin.

As we say goodbye to Diogi, we carry forward the warmth of his memory and the lessons he taught us about loyalty and love. His wagging tail and playful spirit may no longer be with us in form, but his joyful essence will forever remain in our hearts, reminding us of the purity of a companion who only asked for love and offered it unconditionally in return. Rest easy, sweet Diogi, until we meet again.
