It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chocolate Gerardino Arevalo, affectionately known as Choco or Choquito, who left us on November 26, 2025, at the tender age of three. Born on August 15, 2022, he was a beloved companion and an inseparable member of his family, embodying the true spirit of loyalty and affection.
Chocolate was gifted to his family by Raquel and Armando Ochoa on December 2, 2022, and from that day forward, he filled their lives with joy and warmth. His playful spirit was evident in his hobbies; he relished playing with the ball inside the house and loved engaging in spirited games of hide and seek with Samu. His gentle personality and loving nature endeared him to everyone he met, and he brought an unmatched energy and happiness into the household.
Chocolate's favorite pastimes included long leisurely naps on the green sofa and snuggling close to his family while they enjoyed quiet moments watching television. The park was another cherished destination for him, where he would delight in playing with Lu, another Australian Shepherd. He was curious and adventurous, often convinced that an aircraft would one day land in their backyard. Each time a plane flew overhead, he would dash outside, barking with excitement, as if ready to greet his eventual guest.
His persona was defined by his unwavering affection; he was a loving, playful, sleepy, and incredibly friendly dog. Always ready for a cuddle, he formed deep bonds with his family members, especially Samu, Juan, and Bety. Chocolate had a special way of showing love, leaning into those who petted him and seeking out closeness with an openness that made everyone feel welcomed.
Chocolate will be remembered not only for the pure joy he brought to the lives of his family but also for the countless treasured memories they created together. He played a significant role as the first pet for both his father and son, showering them with unconditional love and friendship. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him, leaving a legacy of happiness and affection that will always be cherished.
