Chencho Moreno

May 1, 2024 — January 21, 2026

We gather today to honor and remember an extraordinary feline, Chencho Moreno, affectionately known as Chenchito. Born on May 1, 2024, this delightful orange tabby graced our lives for to brief a time, leaving paw prints on our hearts that will last a lifetime before his departure on January 21, 2026.

Little Chenchito came into this world in the most unconventional way, being found within a welding machine when he was merely a week old. From that moment on, he was destined to be part of the family. While he sometimes wore a grumpy expression, that didn’t diminish his playful nature, or his fondness for the little joys in life. Though hugs and kisses weren't his favorite, anyone who knew him understood that his heart was full of love in its own special way.

Chenchito had a passion for napping; he loved nothing more than curling up in the sink or sneaking onto a cozy bed when the humans weren’t looking. He was a master of stealth and comfort, always finding new places to snooze, leaving behind a trail of purring serenity in his wake.

He also had an adventurous side. Chase was one of his favorite pastimes, as was indulging in a special treat of McDonald's nuggets. Those tasty morsels were hard to resist, and you could be sure that when he made his signature “ojitos,” all would fall under his spell, giving in to his charming demands.

Chenchito was not just a solo act; he shared his space with his furry siblings—Manchitas, Cheto, Chato, Nina, and bebe—all of whom enjoyed the delicious mischief and spirited antics that only an orange tabby could bring. Despite his occasionally mischievous nature, he always had a knack for getting out of trouble with those irresistible “ojitos,” revealing a personality that was both endearing and complex.

He leaves behind his cherished humans—Baldo, Norma, Kaylee, and Orlando—who provided him with a loving home, showering him with affection and treating him as the precious "bebe" of the house. Each moment shared brought joy, laughter, and countless memories to hold forever.

As we say our goodbyes to Chencho, we will carry fond memories of his grumpy yet playful spirit, his love for cozy naps, and how he captured our hearts with his sly expressions and clever antics. His presence will be deeply missed, but the joy he brought into our lives will remain with us always. Rest well dear Chenchito, your adventures may have ended, but your spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
