With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved Buddy Boi Willis-Losoya, who departed this world on October 17, 2025, at the tender age of 12. Buddy was born on July 13, 2013, and in that short time, he graced our lives with boundless love, laughter, and an unforgettable spirit.
Buddy was not just any dog; he was the most loyal, loving, and intelligent boy one could ever hope to meet. With every wag of his tail, he showed us the depths of his affection. With an insatiable curiosity, he dedicated his days to a noble quest—searching for the elusive squeaker hidden within his toys, treating each challenge as a game to be won. His mischievous nature shone brightly through his playful pranks, where he would slyly deposit toys on seats, ensuring that giggles would follow if someone unsuspectingly sat down.
Among his dearest pleasures were the delectable scents wafting from Granny Willis’ kitchen, where his love for chicken and home-cooked meals flourished. He cherished moments at pizza parties and indulged in the joy of his Pedigree pouches, but nothing warmed his heart quite like snuggling up cozily in his favorite spot, demanding enough space for a comfortable jump from couch to couch, ensuring everyone made room for him.
Buddy was the epitome of companionship and warmth. His family was his home, and they were his happy place. He bestowed everyone with “Buddy Hugs,” a delightful ritual that involved him sitting close beside you, relishing the hugs in return and sometimes offering a gentle, loving lick on the nose—a tender reminder of the bond shared. His affinity for belly rubs brought comfort not only to him but to those lucky enough to share those moments.
In his playful adventures, Buddy displayed a vivid imagination and love for storytelling. Each night, he would curl up next to his biological daughter, Kit-Kat—whom was raised as his sister—while Aunt Rebecca filled the air with stories ranging from dinosaurs to delightful tales of all sorts. ‘Dinosaur Train’ on PBS Kids was his favorite show, a radiant reflection of his love for these ancient creatures and the adventures that lay ahead.
Buddy leaves behind not only the cherished memories of his happy, exuberant life—but also his loving family, including his devoted moms, Josefina and Alice; his supportive Aunt Rebecca; his caring Granny Cheryl, and his loving grandfather Alex. His siblings, Beauty, Sawyer, Lily, and the dearly departed sisters Kit-Kat, Itty Bitty, and Teeny, shall always remember the love he spread so freely in their midst.
As we mourn our irreplaceable Buddy, we hold on tightly to the treasure trove of unforgettable moments we shared with him. His playful spirit and the lessons of love and loyalty will resonate within us forever. Buddy, you have left a lasting mark on our hearts, and your love will be felt across time.
