Blackie Galindo

Blackie Galindo, a beloved Lab mix and a treasured member of his family, passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 14. Born on June 12, 2012, Blackie came into his family’s life in the summer and quickly became their baby, the light of their lives.

Blackie was playful, loyal, funny, and always full of excitement. He loved playing with his toys, running around, and enjoying his favorite treats. He had a personality that brought joy into everyday moments, including the times he would “talk back” in his own funny way, leaving his family smiling and laughing.

Some of the most cherished memories of Blackie were the ways he showed his devotion to those he loved. He would wait for Daddy to come home from work, recognizing the sound of the truck and becoming instantly happy and excited. He also loved following his dad everywhere outside in the backyard, always wanting to be close. Though a little shy at times, Blackie’s love was felt deeply in his steady presence, his routines, and the comfort he brought to the home.

Blackie also had his favorite place in the house: close to the door, where he loved to sleep while waiting for his family to pass by and tell him good morning or good night. In that simple place, he was always near, always watching, always loving in his own faithful way.

He leaves behind his Dad, Mom, sisters, and brother who will carry his memory in their hearts and remember the happiness, companionship, and love he brought into their lives every day. Blackie was more than a pet—he was family, and his place in their hearts will never be replaced.

Blackie will be deeply missed and forever loved.
