Bear Simmons

Bear Simmons passed away on September 30, 2026. Born on August 10, 2010, Bear was a tan and black Belgian Malinois who became a deeply loved part of the family and so much more than a pet.

Bear was Christopher’s dog when Kacey and Christopher got together, and from there he became woven into the heart of their life together. He was a great big boy with an even bigger capacity for affection, always ready to give kisses and show his love through licking, snuggling, and staying close to the people he loved most. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and companionship, and he filled his home with the steady, loyal love that only a beloved dog can give.

He found joy in all the simple and happy things in life. Bear loved all toys and all food, and he approached both with unmistakable enthusiasm. He loved running, chasing butterflies, and fetching balls, turning ordinary moments into cherished memories. He loved sleeping in the bed and on the couch, content simply to be near his family. He also loved riding in the truck down back country roads, sharing those quiet trips and open stretches with the people who meant everything to him.

Bear leaves behind his dad, Christopher, his mom, Kacey, and his sister, Hailey, who will carry his memory with them in the days ahead. He also leaves behind his pet siblings: his soul mate, Honey; his best friends, Penny and Gizmo; and his brother, Remi. He was family in every way that mattered, and his love will continue to live on in the home he helped shape and in the hearts of those who knew him best.

Bear will be remembered for his sweet nature, his loving kisses, his snuggles, his playful spirit, and the deep bond he shared with his family. His pawprints remain on their hearts, and he will be missed beyond measure.
