Arkansas Strickland, a cherished grey feline with a heart as big as his playful spirit, passed away on April 17, 2026. Born on September 16, 2014, Arkansas wasn't just any cat—he was a fearless companion who welcomed every visitor with a confident purr and a gentle greeting, as though saying, “You are among friends here.”

Rescued from PetSmart, Arkansas quickly made himself not only at home but at the very center of it. His regal manner was unmistakable; with his front paws always crossed, he presented himself like the true king of the house. Whether it was his crown jewels of toys or the irresistible allure of bread and all flavors of canned cat food, Arkansas embraced life’s simple pleasures.

He was devoted in his affections—forever a lap cat, he nestled close, often curling up beside heads in the bed, offering soothing purrs and an unwavering sense of calm to those he loved. Every day, like clockwork, he would greet his humans at the door after work, a steadfast ritual that spoke of his deep bond and his love.

Arkansas leaves behind his human mom, Marleah; his dad, Gary; his sister, Marvah; and his fur siblings, Cake, Jackie, and Goose. Together, they shared a unique family tapestry woven with love, playfulness, and comfort.

Though Arkansas has crossed the rainbow bridge, the warmth of his purr, the touch of his paws, and the memory of his gentle reign will forever be etched in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
